Second City
Every Tuesday Evening
Second City has a very funny show happening on Tuesday nights. The cast of their mainstage show, which runs Wed. to Sun., is transformed into the Improv All-Stars, and, as the ad says, “No scripts and no limits!”
Basically, the evening is a series of improv games involving heavy audience participation. These six Second City stars are sharp, and what emerges is fast thinking from the cast, and very good sports from the audience.
For example, an audience member has to add in the sound effects for a skit. Or supply the missing words in a dialogue. Or move the actors like puppeteers. Or, along with 2 cast members, become one voice. Or actually be an actor in a scene.
It’s an evening of Theatre Sports, and it is very amusing, even laugh out loud hilarious, while the talented Second City cast gets a chance to hone their improv skills.
Improv All-Stars continues at Second City every Tuesday at 8 pm.
