Dearest Classical FM listener,
Forrest Gump famously said “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.”
Well, on that note I’m writing to inform you that I have accepted an exciting offer to be the Program Director of a classical music radio network based out of sunny California. The group consists of KUSC-FM in L.A. and KDFC-FM in San Francisco with a network of repeater stations owned and operated by the University of Southern California (Go Trojans). It was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.
It has been 33 wonderful years serving you, with countless fond memories that I will always cherish. In many ways we’ve become family as you invited our broadcasts into your home, work place and special occasions. Together we celebrated and experienced great music, moments and memories. I leave with the gratification of a positive broadcasting legacy and the knowledge that my dedicated colleagues will continue to bring you “beautiful music…..”
My final broadcast on Classical FM will be Friday, Sept. 30 from 7 to 11 PM. It will be a difficult but fond farewell.
It has been an honour serving you, MZ Media and the arts community. I’m excited to move on to new warm adventures in California. Stay tuned.
