Our Towns – Old Baldy

Our Towns – Old Baldy featured image

Simply breathtaking! That will be your reaction when you hike the rock outcropping known as Old Baldy, just west of Collingwood.

After a 15-minute hike from the parking lot, or a longer hike via the Bruce Trail, you’ll find yourself at the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, looking down from a height of 152 metres over the Beaver Valley and the Village of Kimberley.

Enjoy the panoramic views. Take in the amazing fall colours. And be sure to keep an eye out for majestic hawks and turkey vultures soaring on the updrafts.

There’s no better way to appreciate fall in Southern Georgian Bay than taking a hike to the Old Baldy Lookout!
