1984 The Canadian Fire Fighter Museum in Port Hope opened its doors. Today this non profit is a National Centre for documentation, preservation and education. The museum celebrates the important contribution firefighting has made to Canadian communities by preserving it’s history, heritage and culture through exhibits, real-life events and safety education. Their goal is to expand and update the Museum . You will discover equipment from all eras and across Canada, from antique helmets, fire hydrants, safety equipment to new interactive displays and vintage fire trucks. The museum is entertaining for children and great for the whole family.
