This story is about a small group of residents who in 1961 had a vision. That vision was to developing and nurturing Performing Arts in Owen Sound. That was the inception of The Owen Sound Little Theatre. In the early years, their group persevered with spartan rehearsal spaces including unheated rooms to an abandoned school. Their first play was My Three Angels at The OSCVI in Owen Sound. Their first musical was The Fantastic’s. The groups dream was to find their own home theatre to rehearse and perform in. 1986 their home became The Roxy Theatre.
Today, The Owen Sound Little Theatre is a thriving Artistic Community making quality live theatre happen in their home. Members of all ages and experience levels are able to enjoy the magic of putting together theatre productions.
