Outdoor Murals in a small town are a powerful visual for residents and tourists to take a glimpse into their history & heritage.

Downtown Collingwood features several murals illustrating the town’s love of history and strong focus to preserve it. You will see murals depicting their shipping and ship building industry, commercial fishing and ski industry to historical scene’s of their downtown in the early 1900’s. The murals of Midland are one of Ontario’s largest outdoor galleries. There are over 30 detailed paintings, representing a significant time in the history of The Georgian Bay Area including one of the largest historical outdoor murals in North America. Thank you to all the talented artists who are preserving the past and telling these colourful stories.
