George Gershwin was 21 when he wrote the song Swanee which sold one million copies of sheet music in 1 year.
He quickly rose to stardom becoming a world renowned pianist and composer of jazz, classical, broadway to music scores for film. Summertime, I Got Rhythm, I’ve Got A Crush On You to Embraceable You.
Sadly, his 23 year career ended with complications from a brain tumor. George Gershwin was one of the most significant American Composers of the 20th century.
