Our Towns – Clarksburg

Clarksburg is a quaint village in The Blue Mountains with friendly people and a big heart. 

It’s a bustling little spot with interesting places to visit and shop, from the old-fashioned hardware store with well-worn wooden floors and hand-crank cash register, to the Honey House shaped like a beehive that sells local Beaver Valley honey.

But Clarksburg is perhaps best known for its art studios and galleries, earning it the name Artsburg among locals, weekenders and visitors. Adding to its reputation as an arts hub is the Marsh Street Centre, a cultural hotspot for theatre, music, art shows and even opera.

A short drive down the road brings you into Thornbury, where more great shopping, galleries and restaurants await. Make a day of it and discover Old Ontario at its charming best!
