Rich in history and elegance, Woodchester Villa boasts 10 acres of serene property overlooking the Muskoka River, Bracebridge Falls, and the iconic Silver Bridge.
One of the oldest homes in Bracebridge, it was built in 1882 for Henry James Bird, owner of a local woolen mill. It was named after the English village of Woodchester where he was born, but quickly became known to locals as “The Bird House” for its unique octagonal shape and the family that lived there for generations.
Today, the doors of the restored Woodchester Villa are open to the public as a charming event space, with afternoon tea socials, ghost tours, business events, movies on the lawn, and more.
