In the summer of 2008 I told you about nutritionist and author Jonny Bowden’s short list of the 11 best foods you should be eating but aren’t. The list is worth repeating now that this story made it onto another important list – one of the most widely read stories in the New York times in 2009. So here it is.

Beets, cabbage swiss chard, cinnamon, pomegranate juice, prunes, pumpkin seeds, sardines, turmeric, frozen blueberries and finally, canned pumpkin.
