Beethoven

There is no doubt that Beethoven was a master of his craft. But did you know that Beethoven’s last symphony (Symphony No. 9) was completed in 1824 – when Beethoven was completely deaf? Beethoven was the first composer to include human voice at the same level as the instruments. When the piece ended, Beethoven being completely deaf, was still conducting. The soprano soloist turned him around to accept the applause and standing ovation of the audience.
