As of 11p.m., Republican Donald Trump had a slight lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the popular vote, but she held the edge in electoral votes.

Trump had 49.2% of the popular vote and was projected to take 20 states and 171 electoral votes.

Clinton had 46.5% of the popular vote and projected to win 15 states and 190 electoral votes.

The first to 270 is the next president.

Meanwhile, a shooting near an LA-area polling station has left 1 dead, 2 wounded.
