Scarborough Councillor Norm Kelly wants to increase the odds you’ll be safe when buying or selling goods on craigslist or kijiji.

Kelly has put forward a motion requesting that Toronto Police Services designate transaction areas at police stations for those buying and selling through classified ads.

Kelly says he was spooked by gruesome case of Tim Bosma who was murdered after posting an ad to sell his truck on line then killed while on a test drive with two strangers.

Kelly’s motion suggests areas in police station parking lots be designated for buyers and sellers to connect in person.
