Zoomer legend Kirk Douglas has received an early 100th birthday present; an award from the World Jewish Congress for his strong support for Israel.
Douglas starred as a holocaust survivor in 1953 movie “The Juggler”, the first Hollywood feature film shot in Israel.
Douglas was born Issur Daniel-ovitch in Amsterdam New York.
World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder said Douglas, who will celebrate his 100th birthday December 9th, was always proud of his Jewish roots.”
Kirk’s Oscar-winning actor and producer son Michael Douglas accepted the award last night in New York, telling over 400 guests that his father will be “so proud and so humbled.”
