One of the most respected musical artists that Canada has ever produced has put his immense collection of stories from the road into a memoir called “Testimony”.
It starts with Robbie Robertson being recruited by Ronnie Hawkins for his band “The Hawks” and finishes with “The Band” being immortalized in Martin Scorsese’s’ documentary “The Last Waltz” in 1976.
“Testimony” focuses heavily on Robertson’s early days in Toronto and his time with the Band and its legendary debut album “Music from Big Pink.”
