The British actor best known for his work with John Cleese on the classic BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers has died at the age of 86.
Andrew Sachs played the hapless Spanish waiter Manuel, the foil to Basil Fawlty’s abuse.
Sachs was born in Germany and moved to England with his Jewish family to escape Nazi persecution. He was diagnosed with dementia four years ago.
