The Forces Sweetheart, Dame Vera Lynn, celebrates her 100th birthday today! She was born March 20th, 1917 in Essex, England.

The English singer, songwriter, actress and newly appointed centenarian recorded and performed many songs that would become enormously popular during WWII, including, “We’ll Meet Again”, “The White Cliffs of Dover”, “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” and “There’ll Always Be an England” to name a few…

In a beautiful tribute for her birthday today, her image is being projected a-top the white cliff’s of Dover in homage to her song “(There’ll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs of Dover
