Outgoing founder and artistic director John Miller, of Stratford Summer Music, visited “Classical Mornings” with Mike and Jean to talk about his departure from the festival after 17 years, being appointed Artistic Director Emeritus, and what his future plans may entail. He also chats about this summer’s amazing and varied lineup – pianists Marc-Andre Hamelin, Angela Hewitt, and Jan Lisiecki; Ron Sexsmith and Tanya Tagaq; The Ennis Sisters, The Canadian Arabic Orchestra, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and much more. He also let us know about Stratford Summer Music’s book launch: “The Stratford Lectures: Ten Perspectives about Music” by Robert Harris, available July 18. (PS: Jean Stilwell appears in that book ….)
