Host Alexa Petrenko will celebrate the legendary Marilyn Horne on the January 13th edition of “Sunday Night at the Opera”. Here’s what she has to say about the opera star:

“The iconic American mezzo soprano Marilyn Horne celebrates her 80-somethingeth birthday on January 16, and there’s no better time to celebrate her life and remarkable career by playing some of her inimitable recordings of show-stopping arias by Handel and Rossini. Also, we’ll hear several of those lesser-known works that became re-established on operatic stages thanks to her interpretations.”

Sunday Night at the Opera airs at 9 PM on The New Classical FM.
