Mozart fans – Sunday is the 263rd anniversary of Mozart’s birth.

Host Alexa Petrenko has Mozart’s opera “Cosi Fan Tutte” in mind, with a nod towards a famed baritone. In her words:
“Mozart’s birthday is this Sunday!   To celebrate we’ll tour through his comic opera Cosi Fan Tutte.   Last time this touched down at the Canadian Opera Company, baritone Sir Thomas Allen came to town to play the role of Don Alfonso,  and I had the opportunity to interview him.  I thought I would share that interview with you this week, and let him reacquaint you with the ins and outs, and ups and downs of the charmingly silly story, which also touches on some real truths about love, and generates some beautiful arias.”

Sunday Night at the Opera airs at 9 PM on The New Classical FM.
