Michael Miranda dropped by The New Classical FM studio to visit “Classical Mornings” with Mike and Jean to tell us about the North American  premiere of a special Holocaust Remembrance project presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, “From Auschwitz to Treblinka”.  Fellow actor Martin Julien will perform, along with pianist Robbie Grunwald and Drew Jurecka on violin and clarinet.

A theatrical reading with live music, the event includes excerpts from Auschwitz Testimoniesby Primo Levi, and The Hell of Treblinka by Vasily Grossman — the first eye-witness accounts written about the Holocaust. “Time is the enemy of memory,” said Michael, emphasizing the importance passing these stories on.
