Peruvian musician Matias Recharte, who plays cajón, drums, and percussion, braved the ice pellets and arctic winds to visit “Classical Mornings” with Mike & Jean to chat about KUNÉ’s upcoming concert at Flato Markham Theatre on Friday, February 8, at 8 pm. Did you hear the “ping” of a cell phone go off during the interview? Nah, neither did we.  🙂

Listen to the interview here:

KUNÉ (which means “together” in Esperanto) is Canada’s Global Orchestra, developed by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto to explore and celebrate Canada’s cultural diversity. The ensemble seeks to communicate in ways that words, politicians, and spiritual leaders cannot, and help to find a common language through music. KUNÉ released its debut album on Universal Music Canada in April 2018 and embarks on its first US tour this season.
