This week: Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
Like another Wolfgang we know, Korngold was a child prodigy from Austria. He narrowly escaped the atrocities of WWII when Hollywood came calling. The Jewish composer said the movies saved him — In turn, he transformed the art of film scoring, setting the standard from the Golden Era of the Silver screen, all the way to John Williams.
Tune in to “A Little Night Music’ weeknights at 7pm.
