This Saturday just after 6:30pm on Dinner Classics, Cocktail Maestro Norm Owen sets us up with some flavours for Spring!
Here are a couple of beautiful cocktails to sip alongside those budding branches, bursting bulbs, and other signs that warmer days are on their way…
The High Fashion Cocktail
1.5 oz gin
1 oz Elderflower liqueur (such as St. Germain)
1 oz grapefruit juice
2 dashes rhubarb bitters
Shake on ice until very cold, then strain into a rocks glass with ice.
Optional: garnish with edible flowers!
The Green Beast
1 oz Absinthe
1 oz lime juice
1 oz simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
4 oz of water (or less depending on the size of your glass)
Shake, and pour into a Collins glass on ice, and tuck in 3 or 4 thin slices of cucumber – Yum!
