Alexa looks forward to presenting the Cole Porter edition of “Sunday Night at the Opera” – here’s what she has to say: “Finally – summer, and no better way to lighten up than with some sophisticated, ingenious and immensely satisfying songs by the brilliant American tunesmith Cole Porter, who was born today, on June 9 in 1891. Soprano Sarah Fox and pianist James Burton present some of his most delectable hits from the 30’s and 40’s, including “Anything Goes”, “I Get a Kick Out of You”, “Miss Otis Regrets”, and my favourite, “Night and Day”.
