A chat with Guillermo Silva-Marin about this summer’s Summer Opera Lyric Theatre featured image

Summer Opera Lyric Theatre (SOLT) General Director Guillermo Silva-Marin visited “Classical Mornings” with Jean (Mike is on vactaion) to chat about the lineup this summer: La Traviata, Earnest – the Importance of Being, and Gianni Schicchi/Riders to the Sea.  SOLT provides a rare opportunity for Toronto opera fans to enjoy late summer opera performances. It is also the training base for young opera singers to hone their craft through an intensive eight-week course learning character development and text/score study. Jean’s opera-related interviews often reveal a prior working relationship and camaraderie and today’s chat was no exception.
