Author Michael Christie chats about his novel, Greenwood

Station Blog2019-10-31By: Classical Staff

Penguin Random House Canada author Michael Christie swung by the “Classical Mornings” studio to chat with co-host Mike Duncan about his latest book, “Greenwood”. This book has been longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. It’s a multigenerational family story, in which the unexpected legacies of a remote island off the coast of BC links the fates of five people over a hundred years.

This is a fun interview – Michael is as descriptive a speaker as he is a writer, and chats about his tiny writing hut on Galiano Island, how chopping a tree lead to this book, the family charts he had up on the walls, and much more. And anyone who has worked really hard towards a goal, achieves it, and feels post-project blues … well, just have a listen to the interview here:
