Well for the first time ever, the outstanding young musicians of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the European Union Youth Orchestra are joining forces. They are on tour now, and this tour will see 76 musicians on stage between the two orchestras. It’s the Frenergy Tour…

Viennese conductor Sascha Goetzel will lead four concerts, which will be presented at Koerner Hall in Toronto on Tuesday, November 12th then the Isabel Bader Centre in Kingston on Wednesday, November 13th and then onwards to Montreal and Ottawa.

The programme will include music by Rossini, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Stravinsky, Wagner, and by Canadian composer John Estacio.

Violinist Blake Pouliot joined Mark Wigmore on The Oasis for a preview of Tuesday’s concert at Koerner.
