Bengt Jörgen joined Mark Wigmore on The Oasis. For the last four decades he has been a major force within the world of dance in this country, and the co-founder of Canada’s Ballet Jorgen.

He has created more than 30 ballets over his career, and much of his focus has been to reimagine classic works to create relevancy for a modern audience.


The latest offering is Canada’s Ballet Jörgen’s traditional treasure The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition. It was created by the acclaimed choreographer and Artistic Director to Tchaikovsky’s well-loved score. And as you are going to find out, this version has a Canadian twist…
