Join Mark Wigmore during “The Oasis” on Friday December 20th between 3 and 4 pm when he welcomes legendary Toronto film composer, Howard Shore. The Oscar Award-winning musician will co-host the entire hour of “The Oasis”, giving insight into pieces from his celebrated career. Those include scores from his collaborations with Martin Scorsese, David Cronenburg, and of course, his iconic soundtracks from all six Lord of the Rings films with Peter Jackson.
Howard will also introduce music from his new film project, The Song of Names, which will be released on Christmas Day.
Shore grew up in Toronto and was a former member of jazz fusion band Lighthouse.  Along with the Lord of the Rings, he has scored Panic Room, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Big, and many others.
