Get your refresher tonight on the ins and outs of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville in advance of the Canadian Opera Company’s winter production! Host Alexa Petrenko’s guest is the brilliant young Canadian baritone Joshua Hopkins who starred as Figaro when this funny opera came to the Four Seasons Centre a few years ago. They will talk plot, vocal technique, staging, and how to sing a thousand syllables a second when the score calls for it!

The COC’s production of The Barber of Seville opens a week from today, Sunday, January 29 at 2 pm, at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.  This version stars Vito Priante as Figaro; full cast listing below.
