This is fun – a piano key staircase, located in Toronto’s PATH that leads to Roy Thomson Hall, home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. (It’s captioned with “Thompson”, a common misspelling of the venue.)
I love this and want to see more music in public spaces. My only quibble: the pitches are counter-intuitive. Is you go down the stairs, the pitches get higher; and if you go up the stairs, the pitches get lower. Would this throw you off?
But hey – it’s music in a public space, in an area where the public wouldn’t normally linger, so hopefully, it’ wont disturb anyone!
