Beware of the force of Carmen, the temptress from the world’s most famous opera. She will haunt you, especially if you’re foolish enough to yack on your phone during a live performance. These performers were in the middle of an instrumental version of the opera when the violinist spotted a cell phone violator.

For those of you who love Carmen in its original form, you will have a chance to see it next year. The Canadian Opera Company announced on February 10 the details of its 2020/2021 season, and Carmen will hit the stage January 23 and will run until February 21.

Single tickets go on sale this summer on July 20 – so mark your calendar! And be wary of using your phone right in front of performers!
