“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

“Not all those who wander are lost.”

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

These are just some of the inspirational quotes Butter has tapped onto his wall at the Toronto Humane Society. Yeah, he’s that guy. If he had fingers, he’d probably be an Instagram Influencer, Photoshopping the words “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” on a beautiful mountain background and posting it with a thousand hashtags.

But this boy has paws and doesn’t know how to work a computer. So instead he’s running around as fast as he can, giving hundreds of kisses every stop of the way. He lives for adventure, and just wants to roam free and make as many friends as he can.

Like any young buck with his life ahead of him, Butter doesn’t like being “tied down”. Careers … girlfriends … leashes. All that stuff totally wrecks his vibe. He’s his own boss and wants to go wherever he wants, wherever the trail leads.

But since he’s been with us, he has learned to relax a little and take things one walk at a time. He’s still eager to meet other dogs, pulling towards them to say hello. But he is such a smart guy and is a BIG fan of treats. His walking manners will continue to improve with the right people by his side.

Sweet and playful and just an all-around awesome dog, Butter would be perfect for the outdoorsy family who enjoy the winding trail as much as he does. To learn more, visit Toronto Humane Society at 11 River Street, visit his profile here:
