Jonathan Crow on TSO and Toronto Summer Music Cancellations

Canadian violinist and TSO Concertmaster Jonathan Crow performed in many of their wonderful concerts in the 2019/2020 season before, of course, concerts were halted due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Jonathan is also the Artistic Director of the Toronto Summer Music Festival, a long-running event that sees ensembles and solo artists visit the city for exclusive performances unique to the festivals programming and themes. This years festival was themed for the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven, but it was announced last week that this year’s festival would need to be cancelled.

Jonathan Crow joined Mark Wigmore on The Oasis for a chat about these tough but necessary cancellations.
