Art Spotlight – Lyrica Chamber Choir of Barrie

For the past 20 years, the Lyrica Chamber Choir of Barrie has been entertaining audiences with eclectic and evocative programs of choral chamber music.

Led by artistic director Steve Winfield, the 36 singers of Lyrica present artistically varied programs of classic choral works and modern masterpieces, often joined by professional soloists and instrumental musicians.

Recent highlights include performances of Faure’s “Requiem,” Finzi’s “In Terra Pax,” and Vaughn-Williams “Fantasia on Christmas Carols.” Accompanist Brent Mayhew enhances the choir’s performances with extraordinary skill and sensitivity.
