Youth Haven Barrie provides emergency shelter and support services to homeless and abused young people age 16 to 24. It’s the only youth shelter in all of Simcoe County, providing thousands of teens and young adults with the support and guidance they need to better their lives.
Eighty per cent of the youth coming through the shelter are escaping dangerous situations like domestic violence, neglect, physical or sexual abuse. If they’re staying at Youth Haven, they truly have nowhere else to go.
And Youth Haven offers more than just a place to stay. They also provide supportive services like counselling, life skills and planning, and referrals.
