Giving Back, The Good Life
People are talking about random acts of kindness as a way to enrich our lives. Here’s one that’s becoming a legend: A forty-year-old Toronto woman picks up the tab for total strangers when whenever she pulls up to the window for a double double at Tim Horton’s.
Her identity is top secret and she says her only motivation is to do something nice for someone else. She says people usually react with shock when they find their order’s been paid for by a stranger. Actually, she hopes it shocks them, and injects some positive energy into their day.
She’s known as the Coffee Angel, and she started doing this when she was coming out of a nasty divorce. The first time, she paid a bill for $1.96 and it made her feel good for the first time in a very long time. She’s been at it awhile, and she sometimes starts a chain reaction, with a number of cars in succession buying for the people behind them.
