New Year’s Resolutions 2012

Are you making new year’s resolutions for 2012? Most of us do – and losing weight, getting fit, quitting smoking and getting organized top the list. Unfortunately, the numbers show about 80% of us fail to follow through. The experts say the problem is we usually make our goals too big and too vague. So instead of saying you want to lose 20 pounds, set yourself a short-term goal like a pound a week or 3 or 4 pounds a month. Instead of saying you want to get fit, make a promise to go to the gym for an hour twice a week. Psychologist Dr. Oren Amitay says focusing on the new year’s is also a mistake. You can find a reason every month to keep pressing ahead with your goals.
