“Tec Savvy Seniors” Yes, Seniors who are texting to emailing thanks to a New “Cyber Seniors” Program where “Students Teach Seniors The Ropes” of Electronic Communication. It’s a unique partnership organized by The Simcoe Muskoka Integrated Falls Strategy, The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and The County of Simcoe. Their goal is to reduce isolation and connect seniors with their family and friends through technology. For 1 hour a week seniors can learn texting, video-calling, email to Facebook from Grade 7, 8 and high school students. The next session starts in September.
