In 2015 Meaford had an idea to set up red muskoka chairs each summer for visitors at unique “Tourist” destinations. Their only problem was finding 8 foot high muskoka Chairs. That is when Drew Ferris Tech Teacher at Georgian Bay Secondary School enlisted his Class for the project. It was a huge success and this Summer The Big Red Chair Tour features 10 of the best seats in Ontario. Each stop has historical facts and information. There is a chait at Station Hill, Irish Mountain Lookout, Beautiful Joe and Memorial Park, Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery to Leith Beach. Meaford’s “Big Red Chair Tour” is the perfect visitors guide to explore Meaford. Take the Tour, a Seat, a Picture and share your experience.
