The Bruce Peninsula Art Show Started 50 Years Ago In A High School Gymnasium featured image

50 years ago Stokes Bay Artist Vince Elliot held the first official Bruce Peninsula Art Show which was held in The Lion’s Head High School Gymnasium. It was a venue to exhibit Vinces artwork as well as a group of his talented Artist friends. Over the years other Artists in the area joined and today there are over 93 Artists from Grey/Bruce. The group believes in giving back to community and has strong philanthropic ties to the Arts community. 2017 they are celebrating their golden 50th Anniversary Show and Sale August 4th and 5th with free admissions at The Bruce Peninsula District School in Lions Head. There are 2 galleries featuring numerous mediums. Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour to Photography and Jewellery, Wood Carving to Painted Shore Stones and Quilt Show.
