A special edition of “Vintage Vocalists”: interview with Sondra Radvanovsky about Jessye Norman

A very special edition of Vintage Vocalists will air on Friday, February 15, featuring a phone interview with soprano Sondra Radvanovsky about Glenn Gould Prize Laureate Jessye Norman.

Norman is being honoured at the Glenn Gould Prize Gala Concert at Koerner Hall on Monday February 20 at 7:30 pm. Sondra was on the jury for the prize, and will be singing at this concert.

Jean Stilwell, co-host of “Classical Mornings” and “A Little Night Music” host Kathleen Kajoka will talk with Sondra about the prize, and about Jessye Norman’s legacy. Sondra Radvanovsky, by the way, was just announced by the COC to be appearing in next season’s production of Rusalka in the title role.

“Vintage Vocalists” airs at 9 pm Friday nights as part of “A Little Night Music”, which airs Monday to Fridays at 7 pm on The New Classical FM.
