The critically acclaimed and commercially successful O’Riley has redefined the limits of classical music. With his groundbreaking transcriptions of Radiohead and Nick Drake and his powerful interpretations of repertoire by Stravinsky and Ravel, he has been featured in both traditional classical music venues as well as the clubs.

O’Riley is most recognizable as the humourous and entertaining host of National Public Radio’s From The Top, a weekly, hour-long radio showcase of America’s top young classical musicians. Distributed by NPR to nearly 250 stations nationwide, From the Top reaches more than 700,000 loyal listeners each week, ranking it among the top programs on public radio along with long-term notables Car Talk and A Prairie Home Companion. In 2007, From The Top was filmed for public television in Zankel Concert Hall at Carnegie Hall and debuted on PBS in the spring. The series is now airing its third season.

Rolling Stone Magazine gave O’Riley’s Radiohead transcriptions, True Love Waits(Sony/Odyssey) four stars.
