Rising Star Soprano Claire de Sévigné joins ‘Classical Mornings’ to Discuss Her Role in COC’s ‘The Abduction from the Seraglio’

The Canadian Opera Company’s production of The Abduction from the Seraglio runs from February 7 – 24, and is considered to be one of Mozart’s earliest masterpieces. Rising star soprano and COC Ensemble Studio graduate Claire de Sévigné returns to the Four Seasons Centre stage in the role of Blonde, one of the seraglio’s captives. She was praised for seeming to “fully flourish” (Bachtrack) when she sang the role at Opernhaus Zurich, where she was recently a member of its International Opera Studio.
