David Newland joins Classical Jukebox to discuss “Arctic Reflections”!

Station Blog2022-8-16By: Classical Staff

Singer-songwriter David Newland is a veteran of many Arctic adventures. From the wreck of the Erebus, to the calving of icebergs, to the resurgence of Inuit culture, David has witnessed the enduring power of the North.

In Arctic Reflections, David performs songs from his album Northbound and shares tales from his time in the Arctic. Accompanied by gorgeous images, his reflections in story and song call upon Canadians to embrace their “Northern” identity—by respecting First Peoples and the land.

David joined Daniel Vnukowski on Classical Jukebox to discuss the upcoming show. Listen to their full conversation below:

Thursday, August 18th at Grey Roots Museum & Archives.

Doors at 6:30, show begins at 7:30.

Tickets for Arctic Reflections are available online, are $33.50 taxes incl.
