Atis Bankas of Music Niagara previews their 25th Summer Festival on Classical Jukebox

Music Niagara is proud to present their 25th Summer Festival from June 18 – August 29. Highlights includes:
  • 25 years ago Music Niagara’s first concert was held at the beautiful and historical St. Mark’s Church in NOTL. Our 25th season will open at St. Mark’s Church with 2 back-to-back performances on June 18 and June 19. Celebrate Father’s Day on June 18 with the Toronto Youth Choir and on June 19 do not miss the Chopin competition pianist legend Dang Thai Son.
  • On June 29 at Grace United Church do not miss –  “If it Ain’t Baroque” – An entertaining program comprised of well-known works by Vivaldi, Bach, and will feature Pergolesi’s masterpiece Stabat Mater.
  • Do not miss an unique new ‘Pops’ Series from July 3-July 6.  4 back-to back performances – include high-energy fiddling and mind-blowing step dancing from the Fitzgeralds,  great humour, and endless musical virtuosity, from fan-favourite Quartetto Gelato,  followed by 2 evenings of red-hot jazz with Steve McDade and Heather Bambrick – all set back in the beautiful vineyard of Chateau des Charmes.
  • On Civic Monday at Ravine Estate Winery – Back by popular demand, and one of the most exciting bands around, the Toronto All-Star Big Band revives the spirit style and sound of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s – that golden age of the big bands.
  • You also do not want to miss a new Wine and Music Series featuring emerging young musicians and special performances by Ukrainian and Lithuanian musicians.
