Canadian Grammy award-winning Baritone, Gino Quilico joined Daniel Vnukowski on the Classical Jukebox as he and his group (Himself, Julie Nesrallah Sop, Dominic Boulianne, Pia), are soon to arrive in Collingwood to perform this year’s closing act of the Collingwood Music Festival, Friday, July 12th, entitled “Some Enchanted Evening”.

“Some Enchanted Evening” is a 2-part production that’s first half holds many big Broadway hits in store, with music from shows such as: My Fair Lady, Carousel, South Pacific, A Star Is Born and more! The second half will feature Gino’s accompanying Soprano Julie Nesrallah to sing some jazz standards, Gino will also sing some traditional Italian songs like “O Sole Mio”  and operatic arias like “Figaro’s Aria” for a very grand finale.

Son of the operatic baritone Louis Quilico, “Mr. Rigoletto”, as he was known. Gino recalls performing with his father at the Metropolitan Opera and remembers it as one of his most cherished memories among countless others, with some of the most esteemed company that can be kept in the musical world.

Gino is an Officer of the Order of Canada and was recently honoured with Le Chevalier Medallion De Quebec. It is an honour to have him and his group to close this year’s festival.
